How You Can Help

  • Become a Budget Adviser.
  • Become a volunteer on our Bread Run and deliver bread to families who need a break. Your commitment as a bread runner is about once every 3 months (depends on numbers of volunteers).
  • Gifts for Xmas Cheer – we put together Christmas parcels for our most needy families at Christmas time. Around 90 families receive our parcels made up of food (from Napier City Council Xmas Cheer programme) and gifts. We prefer these unwrapped so that we can ensure the parcels to any given family are equitable amongst the siblings. November is the best time to drop off Xmas Cheer gifts at Napier Family Centre, Cnr Morris Spence Ave and Wycliffe Street Onekawa.
  • Become a volunteer respite care worker and look after babies and young children for the occasional weekend to help mothers with no safe family or friends to help out gain becomes help them gain.
  • Blue Jeans Day – ask us to let you know when the next Napier Family Centre’s Blue Jeans Day is on and get your office wearing their jeans to work on Blue Jeans Friday and make a donation to Napier Family Centre. Email Kath here to be sure not to miss out.
